ArtGuilds Community Guidelines

ArtGuilds wants to develop a vibrant community of artists, bond by their love for the artistic expression and the creation process.

To allow this community to grow and to give them a supportive and inspiring atmosphere, we have outlined some basic community guidelines. Following them will ensure everyone the best possible experience on ArtGuilds. Please follow them carefully!

Respect Guilders 🤝

• • Empathy and Understanding: Each Guilder comes from a unique background and perspective and has a different skill level. Keep acive your empathy in your talks and missives, to be constructive and positive.
    
    
  • Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Harassment in any form is unacceptable. This may include but its not limited to personal attacks, trolling, threats, and any form of malicious behavior. Denigrating talks, bullying, or harassment will not be tolerated, even when on the right side of the story.

Always Be Authentic 🌟

• • Keep your true identity: Show yourself in the community as your true self without pretending to be someone else. This will fosters trust among Guilders. Therefore, Guilders found to be impersonating others or falsely representing who they are will face consequences.
    
    
  • Be Transparent with your Intentions: Be sure that your actions and content speak honestly and meaningfully to the community, without them being a way to circumvent people to get something else (like involving them in creating NFTs)

Original Sparks only ✨

• • No A.I.- Generated Content: We deeply the value of human creativity and require that all content is created from the authentic effort of artists. Content generated by A.I., either words, video or images, does not align with this spirit and is cause of Instant Ban.
    
    
  • Expressive Authenticity: Embrace and share the unique creativity that you, as an individual artist, bring to the platform, so do not use other artists’ works, unless you have their permission or you’re actually promoting them (for free or for profit)with name or links. In general do not claim other artist’s works as your own.

Stay on Topic 🖼️

• • ArtGuilds is for Art-Centric Discussions: Our community thrives on conversations about creativity, techniques, art history, and personal growth within the arts. Each spark should boost other artists' creativity and desire to express.
    
    
  • Refrain from Divisive/Other Topics: Political discourse, advocacy for specific causes, and other non-art-related discussions are not what other guilders expect when entering ArtGuilds. These topic, even if important for the world and for you, are not part our core mission and are not permitted. At the same time, since we are only related to the Arts and we are not a fishing community, a sport forum, 
    a tech group, please do not go off topic by sharing thing unrelated to arts, that will end up being removed by our GM.
    
    
  • Nudity is always allowed, Porn is not: We defend the nude as a form of artistic expression and study. Without it there would be no thousands of great masterpieces. However, pay attention between artistic exploration of nudity, even erotic, and overtly pornographic/disturbing material without artistic qualities. The latter has no place in ArtGuilds. 

We deeply value Artists’ IPs 💎

• • Honor Creator's Rights: Similarly to point #2, always ensure that you have the right to share content. Unauthorized reproductions, copies, or use of someone else's work without permission infringe upon intellectual property rights.
  • Proper Attribution: When sharing other artists' artworks for inspiration or using elements from another artist's work, be sure to give credit clearly and conspicuously (if the artists are alive please insert a link to their works)

No Illegal Activity 👮

• • Lawful Conduct: ArtGuilds must not be used as a safe zone to support any kind of illegal activities. In general members should always keep in mind what is considered legal, in their endeavors and interactions within the platform.
  • No Promotion of Illicit Behavior: Any form of guidance (like tutorials), support, or facilitation of illegal acts (such as but not limited to: piracy, sharing of illegal content or procedures, IP modification and alterations) is strictly forbidden.

Keep Personal Information Private 🕵️‍♀️

• • Privacy Consideration: Do not share anyone's personal information—such as addresses, phone numbers, emails, or financial details—without explicit consent. This includes respecting the privacy settings set by others on their profiles and ArtPages.
    
    
  • Data Safety: Be mindful of the personal details you share within the community and utilize ArtGuilds' privacy tools to manage your own informations and the way you want them to be shared.

Avoid spam, search interactions 🤙

• • Constructive Sharing: While we encourage you to showcase your work, latest kickstarter campaing and so on be thoughtful about the frequency and nature of your promotions. Offer genuine value to the community instead of relentless marketing.
  • Community Interaction: Engage with other Guilders' content constructively—offering praise, constructive criticism, and discussion is the foundation of community spirit. In general that’s also the best way to "promote" yourself and create connections,

Compliance with the Guild Masters 🎩

• Respect Decisions: Our moderators (a.k.a. Guild Masters or GM) work hard to keep ArtGuilds a welcoming space for all artists. If a GM takes action on your content or behavior, respond courteously and seek to understand their guidance.
  
  
• Appeals and Dialogue: If you disagree with a moderation decision, approach the matter through the appropriate channels calmly and present your case logically and respectfully contacting us at info@artguilds.net

Reporting and Feedback 🧑‍💻

• • • Community Vigilance: If you encounter violations of these guidelines, use the report feature to alert our Guild Masters. The support of our guilders is in fact essential to helps maintain the quality and protection of ArtGuilds.
    • Continuous Improvement: We value your input on how ArtGuilds can be a better place for artists. Share your suggestions with us  as we all wish to grow and improve together. You can use this section: https://roadmap.artguilds.net 

By participating in our art community, you agree to these guidelines and your commitment to maintain an enriching, safe space for all artists. If anything stated is is violated it can result in various consequences, from warnings to account banning.
